Do you take Out of pocket payments and help with reimbursements?

Yes, if your insurance has some specific process for them to reimburse you, you will be responsible for paperwork or steps to complete that process as well as directly communicating with your insurance, I am able to provide superbills and documentation needed.

What is a session with you like?

Accepted Answer

When you meet with me, it will just be a very normal conversation. At the beginning, I will ask lots of questions to get to know you, and also to make it a little less awkward, and then we will create some goals. After that, I will support you in taking the lead, talking about what you feel you need to talk about, and going into the subjects you feel are important. Within those conversations, we can see if the decisions you’re making align with the person you want to be. If not, we can figure out ways to get you there together. My approach is person-centered, independent from your concerns. I draw from many theories and adapt my sessions to your personal needs.

Do you have a sliding scale?

I do reserve a few sliding scale slots for people who are experiencing financial hardship, contact me and we can talk about a reasonable agreement for both of us.

How do I know if you are the therapist for me?

Honestly, I believe in "the feels" so when you have a conversation and you feel comfortable and open, you feel like you can ask questions and rely on the answers, then that would be the person that might be best for you. That is why I offer consultations, 15 min phone call, where you get to ask me questions and you can have a sense of what my style is and if it feels like I can help you.

How long is a session and how often do I have to see you?

This is your choice, I believe consistency helps a lot, so weekly meetings are my preferred way of working, that way we are able to get in a rythm while working together. 
You also can decide if you want a shorter session 45 min or a 60 min one. I understand life is busy so I try to be flexible, and creative. You can let me know your needs and we can decide together how to work in a way that works best for you.
